Man--Inherently Good, or Inherently Evil?

What are you thoughts on the nature of Man (or humanity)? Do you believe that Man is inherently evil (at the core of his nature) or do you believe that man is inherently good (at the core of his nature)? Explain your answer.

stumbling blocks

continue rolling with the previous blog--but thought I would throw another on the table. What are some of the biggest stumbling blocks that keep people from believing in God? Maybe in your personal life, or in the lives of people you have known that struggle with the idea of God. Secondly--why do you think these particular stumbling blocks are so hard to get beyond?

Concept of God?

What's up guys? Welcome to Probing God.

Here's a question to throw on the table. What is your concept of God?--When you think of God, what do you immediately think of? Is that possitive or negative? In other words, who is God to you? If you don't believe in God--post that and maybe why you don't.

This is a dialogue--not looking for "correct" answers here, but rather what you really believe and think.

probing God. weird name. sounds almost wrong, doesn't it? yet that's what we will attempt to do: to probe, to test, to examine in attempt to understand God, if He does exist, and the nature of who He is. the identity of God. big concept. large.

a quick note. this is a forum in which to speak openly, with open minds. openness requires honesty, being real, authenticity. authenticity does not mean we will nod our heads in agreement at the end of a discussion. hopefully, we won't. we will challenge each other and respect each other's perspectives. if i am not willing to listen to you, why should you listen to what i have to say? so i shall end with a quote from the great philosopher, dr. seuss:
